One of the great aspects of Sueños Compartidos is that our volunteers live with host families who provide food and housing, which keeps your costs very low.  You will incur personal expenses during you stay for travel, personal items, sightseeing, etc.  A realistic estimate of personal expenses is $200 per month, plus airfare.  These amonts allow for personal travel/weekend excursions, including bus travel, housing, meals, and sightseeing.  Additionally, for the semester program in Colombia, you might need an in-country visa extension which is approximately $60.

Once invited volunteers have been introduced to their local coordinators, we request a program fee of $25 via paypal.  These proceeds contribute to our web presence and volunteer recruitment.  Like the teaching, all administration is 100% volunteer!
